Would be interested if anyone can help me fill in my geneology further back -my great-grandfather and before
[Note: there was one lineage published showing we came from Germany, consequently they were unable to find any further ancesters in Germany. I was told, however, my great-grandfather (or maybe his father?) was from Scotland, but went to Germany first, then came here. (Our ancesters were from Scotland, not Germany.)
My Great Grandfather: Zack/Zachius/Zacheous Mickle (Not sure of spelling, sorry) Zack had many children, but the only names I remember my father speaking of were his uncles; Miles, Milo and Lee. "Uncle Lee" could have been a great uncle(?).
My Grandfather: Ernest Alton Mickle[Third(?) son of Zack] Grandmother: Daisy Deane Brockway Mickle
My Father: Clinton Zacheous MickleBorn: April 26, 1902 Mother: Beulah Leota Savage Mickle

We are supposed to originally be from Scotland, but I don't know the connection.I was told that during the post-colonial era, there was a time when Scots were blocked from entry into the United States. My great-grandfather (or maybe his father?) was from Scotland, but went to Germany first, living there long enough to get papers, so he did not appear to be a Scot when he came here.I don't know for sure, but that is the story that was passed down.
