Andrew Hendricks 11/24/00
Andrew,
My mother kept pretty well up to date with family through the years, even surnames married into the family too.So though Hendricks may be your name, it too is one Mom said was related. No I have not found the connection.
However, I was going to include you on an email to give you and others this information, but thought because of your name, I would send this to you seperately.
The James I have was born about 1809 and that was before they went further west and some change their name to Myers. It had been Marrs, Mars, Meir, Meier, Maier, Meeks, Mear, Mead, Miles, Mills, Meal, and then oh the variations thereafter.
I haven't followed that line as I don't know at this time if it would be directly related more than I already know.
James Marrs b 1809 m Elizabeth Neal/O'Neal/etc.I don't have my papers as we are in process of moving from state to state for the 3rd time in 2 years.Yes, I hate it.I am not sure I remember all the names of their children, but perhaps it could get you started.Mine were in OH on one side and I don't remember where the other line was in my Robinson, Sturm, Garner, Weaver, Cunningham, Bull, etc lines.I will have to check that when I find my notes.
The children I can remember and surnames married into the family of spouses are as follows:
Rebecca
Preston
many more slip my mind.
Surnames
Bird/Byrd/Burd m Marrs/Myers/etc
Ravert
Grissom
Frazier
Staley
Cornell
What I also remember is the parents of this James were said to be Wm Marrs and Jane McClure.I know no more about his parents at this time.
Parents of Elizabeth Neal that married James Marrs b 1809 were Daniel and Rebecca Neal that came from MD to OH and raised their family.I do know others in the family married a Wilson and 2 married Robinson's, one of which are my gg-grandparents.Daniel and Rebecca Neal are my ggg-grandparents according to my partial family Bible.
Robinson is my ggg-grandfather too.
If you can't back up and find your family, try going forward from these and hopefully it will be the right connection.
Remind me, I have short term memory loss if you are interested and refer to this link so that I might remember from where I saw the inquiry.
