The family tree is well developed - except on the Millen side with a block at James Millen b. 1805 +/- 1 year.He is buried in Smarden, Kent with his wife Ann Attaway (Ottaway)(b.1805)Smarden, Kent.They were married in Bethersden, Kent on 29 March 1829. The Ottaway family is well traced with branches to 1499, including a number in USA just after Mayflower. The birth certificates of his children describe him as a farmer. The only James MILLEN 1805 I can find on the IGI index is from North Carolina!
There were lots of Millens in Kent England from the 1600s on so I am assuming he was from there but he could have been one of those who came back from USA or he could be one of the Scottish /Irish/French Hugenots Millens,
