William Milholland, Born 1789 appears in the 1830 Census of North Carolina with 5 children, a wife, and 2 others.
Next he appears as William Milhollen,60, in the 1850 Census of Gordon County Georgia, with wife Jemima,50, and daughter Mary,22.
His son William L. Milhollan,35,Blacksmith, appears in the 1860 Census of Cherokee, Alabama with wife Nancy E. and 4 children.
Next his wife Jemima, 73, appears in the 1870 Census of Cherokee, Alabama, living with her daughter and son-in-law: Phillip and Mary Hudgeons.
Apparently both Jemima and Mary died and were buried in Alabama. Can't find any evidence of where William Sr died.
At some point William, Jemima, Mary, and possibly William L. were in Tennessee. I've misplaced that copy of the census and will have to look it up again.
Please review your information to see if you can find any tie-ins with mine! Notethat originally there were 5 children in the 1830 Census and only 4 in the 1850 Census. What part of Alabama were your relatives located in?
