Do you mean the parish of Aghanagh? The civil parish of Aghanagh is within the County of Sligo but the catholic parish of the same name extends beyond the Roscommon border where a lot of Mattimoes dwelt, therefore most of the Mattimoes in the Aghanagh registers actually lived in Roscommon. The Milmoe/Mattimoes of Sligo within the parish of Aghanagh dwelt at the extreme north in the townlands of Cloghoge Upper and Lower. My ancestors lived at Carrigeenfad in the townland of Cloghoge Upper and were recorded variously as Milmoe and Mattimoe even after settling in the North East of England were one branch eventually became Mil(l)more and another Mattimore. I have lots of notes after 16 years of research, what do you want to know?
