Seeking CYR/MIQUELON 1750-1860
I'm a descendant of Louis T. Miquelon, born 1860 Quebec.

Family folklore is:
Our Miquelon line began around 1760 with baby boy who was somehow orphaned and rescued from a ship near St. Gregorie which had sailed from Miquelon Island.
Not knowing his name, he was called ('Petit'?) Miquelon after his last port.As he grew, he learned he was a CYR
and originated the surname Cyr-Miquelon, which later generations reduced to Miquelon.
I suspect that Pierre Cyr who married Anne Poirier de France 1758 Beaubassin may be 'Petit's' parents.
I would greatly appreciate any data or sources on the CYR orphan, his parents and/ or lineage to Louis T. Miquelon.
