I am still looking to connect my Thomas Mobley to his parents. I have been researching this for over 16 years. I finally started at the first immigrants and started down. Even that didn't work. I have joined the Mobley mailing list and they don't have information on my line. There are a couple of people researching the same line and we maybe able to help each other if we combine our information and family stories. Please contact me if you can help in any way. More information follows. Thanks, Pat
I am still searching for Thomas Mabrey Mobley and his connection to all of the Mobleys. He was born in 1820. He married Martha Rebecca Crawford.
Their children were:
Louisa b1846 Mary Ann b1848 never married Thomas Jr b1850 married Nancy Caroline Hill Samuel b1854 Ina b1857
According to his Confederate papers he was born in Putnam County, Ga but there are no Mobleys in Putnam County in 1820. The family history center has him born in Elberton, Ga. It also states that he and Martha married in Elberton. I cannot find anything to support this. Can anyone help me? I have worked on this since 1983 and can't connect him with anyone. The Thomas Mobley that married the Mabrey seemed a possibility at one time, but didn't pan out. I am open to ANY suggestions.
