Thank you for responding to my message. You're right - the Clement Mobley who is buried in Kimbler Cemetery in Crawford Co., AR is Clement Mobley, Sr. (1746-1834), son of my Capt. Clement Mobley (1719/20-1790).The Isiah Mobley who was buried in the same cemetery was a brother of the above Clement (1746-1834) rather than his son.Isiah's dates are 14 Dec 1754- 22 Oct 1836 and he was married to Frances "Fanny" Coleman.
I looked at the website that you noted, http://www.sc-families.orghttp://www.sc-families.org and found that it filled in some of the blanks that I have on some family members, however, it has the two Clement Mobleys confused.Capt. Clement Mobley (1719/20-1790) was married to Mary Fox (1722-aft 1800).Their son, Clement Mobley, Sr. (1746-1834) was married to Phoebe DeLashmet Lashly and a Sibella who is probably buried in the Kimbler Cemetery.I am descended from Capt. Clement through his daughter, Susannah Mobley, who married her 1st cousin, Isham Mobley, Sr., son of William Mobley, brother of Capt. Clement.
The South Carolina Families website also left out my ancestor, Isham Mobley, Jr., son of the above Isham Mobley, Sr. and brother of Jemima Mobley and Hester Hunt Mobley Yongue.Isham, Jr. married Penelopy Jenkins and remained in the Fairfield/Chester Co., SC area. I don't know where either Isham, Sr. or Isham, Jr. were buried and I don't know any of their dates.
By the way, is Kimbler Cemetery the same as LaRue Cemetery? One of my sources said that Clement and Isiah were buried in LaRue Cemetery, Crawford Co., AR.Your tombstone photos are excellent. Are the Mobley wives or any children buried in the cemetery?
I'm still looking for the burial place of Capt. Clement Mobley and Mary Fox Mobley. They probably died and were buried in Madison Co., KY and never moved with their sons to Crawford Co., AR or moved back to SC.
