The information that I have came mostly from the Mobleys In America website.I haven't updated my information in a while, so it may not be current. You may want to check out the website for better information.
I have 12 children listed for Susannah DeRuel (or Duval) and Edward Moberley.I am a direct descendant of 2 of their sons, Clement and William.Their children are as follows: William Mobley, Sr. (1717/1718-20 Dec 1766) m. The above William and Ann Osborne Mobley were the parents of Isham Mobley, Sr. and 9 other children.
Capt. Clement and Mary Fox Mobley were the parents of Susannah Mobley and 7 other children, including Clement Mobley, Sr.
The above Isham Mobley, Sr. and Susannah Mobley married and were the parents of Isham Mobley, Jr. who married Penelopy Jenkins, my great great great grandparents. Both Isham Mobleys and their wives were born and died in South Carolina.Their descendants stayed in and around Fairfield County, South Carolina until my great grandfather and his family moved to Florida in 1896.
Apparently, Capt Clement Mobley died in Madison Co., Kentucky while his son, Clement Mobley, Sr., died in Crawford Co., Arkansas. Someone sent me a photo of his tombstone about a year ago.I have not be able to find where Capt. Clement or his wife were buried.Do you know?
