Actually, I have a copy of Edward Mobley's will dated c.1839. I recently scanned the transcribed copy into a WORD document and emailed it to another member of the forum.I would be happy to email you a copy at your AOL address. Yahoo would not allow me to send the whole document in one email, so you will probably receive three emails. The entire will is about 3 1/2 pgs.I got the entire estate package from the SC Archives and have other documents, including an earlier will that was not probated, inventory lists, etc. I am doing slave ancestral research and followed my gg grandfather from GA in the 1870 census back to SC and found him on the slave inventory list in the estate package. Edward Mobley was his slaveholder in 1839, and I believe he eventually ended up here in GA w/Susuan Mobley Taliaferro (Edward's daug.) and her husband Richard Taliaferro. I have only been researching for a lillte over a year, but have made great progress.I am researching any Mobley/Taliaferro connection, especially if they migrated from SC and lived in Henry/Dekalb/Fulton counties of GA.If you have any info the you can share it would be greatly appreciated. Watch your email for the document which I will send today. Good luck w/ your research.
