Beverly,
So far you're the closest I've been able to find to my link to the Mobley family.Do you know if any of these is in your family line:
James Mobley (b.1800 in Virginia) married to Elizabeth
Washington Mobley (b.1829) married to Mary E.
George W. Mobley (b.1851) married to Sarah Frances Clark (A.K.A. Fannie C. Mobley).George is buried in the Old Emmaus Church cemetery located somewhere on the Tin Bridge Road off U.S. 29 south of Hogansville (Troup County), GA.FANNIE (1858-1904) is buried in the Emmaus Church Cemetery, located on GA Highway 54 between Hogansville and Lone Oak and close to the I-85 Exit in Hogansville.
Aldora Mobley Smith (1879 - 1967) {my grandmother} married to Hanson Foster Smith.
DO ANY OF THESE NAMES LOOK FAMILIAR TO YOU IN YOUR TROUP COUNTY SEARCH?
