My only surviving aunt was a Groover. My cousin, her daughter had to put her in a nursing home a short while ago as there was no way she could take care of her mother and sister who is in bad shape. the mother and sister lived just a short way down the road from the church.
On the middle Saturday in June, there is a Mobley family reunion. I will include some info on that in the package I send. The reunion has been annually since 1952...
Oh! I just remembered something, I beleive there is a downloadable copy of the James N. book on Carl Mobley's website. I will dig out the URL and send to you. Carl, who lives in Orlando, Fla is the keeper of the Mobley files. You can contact Carl at:
In the Gum Branch Baptist Church cemetery there are lots of Mobleys, Groovers, Wells, and Todds.
You can't miss the Church it is right on hiway 196 and the cemetery is accross the road. Also across the road is another church but I forget the Name.
I have extra copies of the James N. Mobley book so it will only cost postage, I can afford that. LOL
I will wrap it and mail it tomorrow, Monday, April 23, 2001
