Thankyou very much for the detailed info. I thought I was at a dead end. The names that you mention all follow the traditional fist name Italian custom in naming children. ie. Antonino, Caterina, Concetta, Grazia Angelo etc. all appear in my line of relatives.
I have first cousins in Detroit who are Aiellos. My Uncle Sam Aiello married his first cousin Frances Parisi. Frances is my mother's (Vincenza--JEAN) sister. My mother will be 90 this year. Sam's father was Domenic Aiello who married Caterina Galante (my mother's aunt)
The other Parisi girls marriedJoe Tocco, Vito (Billy) Tocco andPeter Ciarmitaro. They all lived in the Detroit area. These are names that you also have links to.
My GRANDFATHER IS Salvatore Parisi. He married Vincenza Galante. They had 8 chidren. Vincenza's siblings married into the Trentacosta's (Detroit) Palazzolo's and Daleo's(Hamilton) Half the family is American and the rest is Canadian. I live in Hamilton, Ontario. Salvatore's siblings were Antonino, Girolamo (Gilarmo) and Concetta. Salvatore (1870) was the youngest.I still have no info on Antonino or Concetta as to who they married or where they lived. ( I suspect Detroit and possibly California--Antonino supposedly died in some type of boating/fishing accident)If you have any info on these two individuals I would appreciate the feedback.
Would you know if Grazia and Caterina Moceri had sisters or nieces by the name of Giovanna and Providenza? I am trying to determine how the Favazza family is related to the Parisi side. Salvatore Parisi had a nephew (Angelo)by the last name of Favazza. The Favazza's may have had links to Memphis as well. A Giovanna Moceri married a Libonio Favazza and Providenza Moceri married a Daleo.
This is becoming so complicated because of the name tradition and the fact that they all intermarried from a small town (Terrasini).
Any and all info would be greatly appreciated. Let me know if we are related on the Aiello side as I have many first cousins still living in the Detroit area.
