It looks like we can really get our MOHN immigrants (Johannas in particular) fixed in time if we can get information from kindred families, in the form of spouses and children. The goal, as far as I am concerned, is to verify the siblings/families of Johannas and Anna Margaretha (HACK) MOHN, who arrived in America from Langenselbold, Hesse, Germany, on the ship "Elizabeth" in 1733. Here are a list of families I am familiar with which show up in the MOHN line: GRAUEL/CROWL/CROWLEY, BUECHLE/BEIGHLEY, and FAUST. This is certainly not inclusive and there are others, but here is a start.I will begin with the oldest son of Johannas and Margarthea, Vernor (or Wernor). He was married to Anna Catherina CROWL. I have reports of 2 Catherina's. One who may have died at sea on the "Elizabeth", dau. of Johann Michael and Anna Elizabeth (ROTH) GRAUEL born in 1729, and another born to Johann and Anna in Pennsylvania in the late 1730's. Vernor and Catherina had 4 children: Abraham, George, Jacob, and Eve. I have very little confirmable historical info. on the last 3 before about 1790. Can anybody help start filling in the blanks? How does the Schwartzwa(o)ld Church in Berks Co., Pa. play into this?
