I also meant to add that Ann PALMER, b.ca. 1762 (prob. in Phila.) was living in Savannah GA when the Rev. broke out. She was supposedly first married to a John (?) DAVIS who d. 1775, then to a Philip ALLMAN who d. 1781 who had been previously married to a "Jane"& then finally, m. 3 to Gerald BYRNE of Dublin IRE who had come to Pensacola FL on "The Success' Increase" and lived in Savannah and also n Pensacola before settling in Baldwin Co. AL whre he was scalped by Indians in 1814.
Ann Palmer BYRNE had several children with Gerald Byrne and amongst them were 3 daughters, Margaret BYRNE (my ancestress) who m. William MCVOY and daughters: Ann & Mary who BOTH married Charles HALL, Jr. whose father, Charles HALL, Sr. was apparently a Loyalist. William MCVOY's father, John MCVOY was also a Loyalist.
But I am sure she connects with BROWN & MONTELIUS back in Phila.
There was a Redmond BYRNE who lived in Phila who I am fairly sure was a brother of Gerlad Byrne who died in AL.
Redmond named his son, Gerald as well, and had some connection to Cadiz Spain. GErald Byrne in AL was in Spanish Territory and was some type of official with the Spanish from what I understand. AGain, he died in 1814. There was something small I found about him in the Natchez court records.
But I am sure there was a Montelius connection. If anyone can help, I appreciate the information.
