(perhaps with exception to the stuff "on the positive" side...oh, that and the "hypogliemia"[sic?] ...I personally tend to get neurotic and cranky with hunger, and a Snickers does the trick every time for all of you hypoglycemic Montesi descendants out there!)
The Montesi family name, in fact, predates the 20th century.Yes, it does mean "coming from the mountains", but was certainly in existence prior to WWI. After all, don't you think someone in Italy would've thought of that beautiful yet somewhat generic name a little earlier than 1917?They must have, since my grandfather was born to that family in 1900.I have been back to visit his hometown just north of Ancona, and have personally seen the birth records of Montesi's dating back to the early 1800's.Perhaps the legend has the wrong war...I think Joyce's story is a bit more credible, though.
I'm no geneologist, but I'd love to hear how you came upon the other information.Also, please pardon my tone, no disrespect intended.
