Hi again Carol, I just posted some new info I found in an old book called The Cox Family in America...see my latest posting...also info from the Moody family b. Charles C. P. Moody does Not list Hodgkin or Samuel either. I am REALLY thinking these Moody lines have been Completely Messed Up.It truly seems to be the case here, no wonder you all are having such a difficult time finding your actual ancestral roots! Did you see my other latest postings on having John of Hartford, and William of Newbury Exhumed?I am now thinking that may be the ONLY way to once and for all prove that your line and other Moody's of the New England branches do indeed at Least Connect as far back as the 1600's to your Immigrant Ancestors if going to be through the Ydna Testing of their bones!!Sounds drastic and bit macabre, but it may in fact be the only option at this stage. I feel very strongly that these Moody branches in New England have been so skewed and intermingled over the centuries that there is basically no way to sort out the Genealogies.
As for my James, I give up, nothing seems to be out there on him. Unless someone else comes along and has Ydna tests done from Maine or somewhere that we can prove links to my line, I just don't know. Its completely frustrating to say the least. Oh and yes I am feeling better today, a bit of old age struck me the other day (laughs). Take care.
