This is a Very Good article with much info from Dr. Ken Nordtvedt's research (and others), whereby it states on pg. 5 that our subclade of L-22 was born 3000 years ago approx. 1,000 years before Christ. That I1d is a north European clade but does not go as north as the Scandinavian haploGroup. It continues on by saying however that even though that is the case, a large number of our I1d ancestors I guess settled in the Scandinavian countries.
On pg. 7 it says that a later group (after the Anglo-Saxon group) called "Norse" was born. The L-22 group of Norse were the First to have the mutation known as I1d. !!! The tell-tale signature of this is our DYS462 = 13 and DYS 511 = 10 (of which my line has both). It says our branch gets stronger as you move towards Sweden to Norway and shows up in greater strength in Norway and Sweden. It states that is rarely seen south of Baltic Sea or south of the North Sea. This means that our ancestral lineage line could very well be from those Moody's of Orkney as this article also says that our group is only found in those places where the Vikings settled. We know Orkney had a huge settlement of Norwegians at one time and that is why I have maintained my gut feelings that we have some link to those MOODIE's who at one time inhabited that area. Hope the link works its really a great read regarding our "I1d" - L-22N (Norse) heritage and HaploType etc.
