I have a 4-page TAG (The American Genealogist) article about the Hunter-Hollingsworth family who traveled on the ship Blessing to America in 1635 and can send a copy of that to your personal e-mail address with your permission. Let me know.
Pending that, in answer to your question about William Hunter, he was a son of Thomas Hunter and Susan Gentleman, as were all of the Hunter children on the Blessing. At the time of the sailing of the Blessing, Thomas Hunter was deceased and his wife Susan (Gentleman) had remarried to Richard Hollingsworth. The Hollingsworth children listed on the Blessing were the children that she had with him. The Hunter-Hollingsworth family were all originally from Southwold in Suffolk, England.
Regarding William Hunter, he was baptised on 23 Nov 1623 in England and married in Boston Mass. about 1656/57 to "Scissilla Corish" who soon died and later married Mary Carter with whom he had four children. William's sister Christian Hunter became the wife of Mayflower Passenger Richard More in 1636. They resided in Salem, Mass. Ironically, Richard was also on the 1635 voyage of the Blessing, returning from a trip to London of unknown duration or purpose.
As mentioned, I can send the TAG article on this family to your e-mail address with your permssion. Let me know if you wish to have it.
