Hi Terry, It is good to hear from you again! Yes Terry i bought Micheal book Boone and do like very much. I was not a fan of Daniel Boone as I thought he was not a very good family man and very self centered but I can understand why with his debts but leaving it up to his wife to deal with. It looks like not much has changed over the century with some men! The book was very good and well written though. I wrote to Micheal and he told me he thought he was descended from your line but said he had not done the DNA. He lived in Wilson Co, just next door to my John Morgan from Nash NC who was born 1748. His father was James Morgan who was married to Elizabeth. We know James according to family he was from England which was a part of Wales depending on the time with the boundry changing. Right away we had a hit from a family from Pontypool which is just down the road from Tredgar. I hope more DNA comes in from that area so we can find out more about James. Our family had slaves right from the start in NC. Our John Morgan and James and Hardy Morgan served in the Rev War. I have not found any other Morgan's before 1700's that could be related from that area so I do believe the story that James came over from England. I did think we were related to the Morgan's of Essex VA due to DNA of Ramsey also in that area which was also a close match with our Morgan's and listed with John Morgan of Essex, on some property. It is hard to know for sure but we do know from that DNA we came from Wales in the late 16 or early 1700's from a Henry Morgan who lived in that area and they claimed to be related to Henry Morgan the Pirate. Well it is fun to research the Morgan's as there is so many of them with a lot of History. I don't have enought to do with my own family so I tryed to nail down the Rev Soldier's hoping to find out who came from where in NC. Your line was confusing until you said you came from 3 lines. Do you think the Morgan's from MD are descendants of James Morgan and Rachel Jack from Ireland who came over in 1680?
