Looks like this forum needs to be christened--hopefully to find some other interested family members.
My ggggrandfather was Peter Morschhauser, born Ger, and Mary Ann unknown. Their known children were Peter J.(b. 5 May 1842-Ger., d. 5 May 1900-Springfield, Sangamon, Il.) who married about 1864, Christina Schmidt(b. 22 Dec 1843-Ger., d. 14 Nov 1920- Springfield, Sangamon, Il.) and Mary-b. 12 Aug 1848-Ger., d. 21 Jun 1927-Springfield, Sangamon, Il. who married John P. Zender on 20 Jul 1875 in Springfield, Sangamon, Il.
Christina and children arrived in New York from Antwerp on 31 May 1883 aboard the ship Belgenland. Have not found Peter's entry ship or date.

Obviously would like to know more about the German generations(I have seen data that lists the childrens birth as Niederlahnstein, Koblenz, Rheinland) but I am also interested in Peter's arrival in America, locating Christina in the 1910/1920 census, information on August/Margaretha Berhnard and the lives of Franz, Johann, George, and Elizabeth.
I have a good deal of information(mainly census data) on the other families--Hallmeyer, Shork, Schweickert--that I would be happy to share with other family researchers.
