OK here goes, My Mosbys came to clay county around 1827-1828,they had 10 chldern. theirs names were John & Cassandra(Endicott)Mosby. Their childern were William,John,Littleberry,Washington,Warfield,Susan,Mary Ann,Galliton,Wilson,& Jefferson.
I have a copy of parts of Johns will(he died in 1839 in clay county),this will list the following salves sold & who bought them.
They are LUCY & CHILD TO CASSANDA MOSBY CATHARINE TO WARFIELD MOSBY DANIEL TO JOHN MOSBY JAMES TO WM ENDICOTT another LUCY & CHILD TO LEWIS
The Albert Gallatin you are referring to is related to my John & Cassadna and I am sure all of Johns brothers and their childern had salves whe they came here from Ky.
Since My John had so many childern I am sure there is a connection to your Mosby's. It looks like a big ball of twine that will take forever to unwind. I hope maybe my info will help you a bit and I will try to help any way I can Joyce
