Dear Karen Marie,
Colonel John Singleton Mosby was a real dandy, he had a large hat with a big red feather on it. Do you know why the army from the north called him the "Gray Ghost" ? Because he wore a large grey cape, and he was so fast in his raids through the woods, in the middle of the night, on the boarder of Virginia and Washington, that the only thing the blue tunics could see, half asleep, was this grey cape vanishing in the dark, with their food, their paychecks and their horses....
What a Hero!!!
