You are correct, it does appear that I am from that line. I personally did not do the research but my sister has. She was fortunate enough to be given the records accumulated by, a cousin i believe....Irene Sanders (she's the spouse of one of the sons of my great aunt Farrell (John P. Motes sister).
There is another genealogy site called ancestry.com and my 1/2 uncle has been able to document our ancestry from William Motes b(1641-1684), he was the father of jonathan motte who was a huguenot. His post there are under blackr and he has done some extensive research and has a couple of rft files that might make you very happy.
As interested as I am in my ancestry I more interested in actual history and the Motes family's role in it. I am also very interested in French history so this makes it somewhat convienent. I would definetly love to find out where in France this line comes from.
