Mowchan, Mickey MICKEY MOWCHAN, 88, of Madison, OH., entered peacefully into rest at 12 noon on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at the home of his son, Joseph in N. Olmsted, OH. Born Joachim Nicholas on Nov. 16, 1919 in Smokerun, PA., he was the son of Andrew and Rose Barno. He served in the U.S. Army as a radio operator and marksman, and was in the Seventh Armored Division. He was a member and usher of Immaculate Conception Church in Madison for over 50 years. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post No. 8548 in Madison. He dedicated an hour every morning to prayer and exercise, and was an avid walker, gardener and baker. He loved to play and follow baseball. Beloved husband of the late Coletta (Buehner); loving father of Jane Wise (Hal Smart) of San Diego, CA., Linda Mowchan (Rick Brandt) of Madison, OH., Debbie Miller (Bill) of Shady Cove, OR., and Joseph (Maria) of N. Olmsted, OH.; grandfather of Todd Mowchan of Madison, OH.; Godfather of Anne Kelly Zalla (Doug) of Upper St. Clair, PA.; uncle and great-uncle of many; dear brother of Julia Russin of Ellwood City, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers, Andrew, Steve, Mike, Metro, John, Peter and Wasco; and four sisters, Anna, Marie, Katherine and Rose.
