John Douglas Mullen, Oklahoma, Md Phoebe Ann Phillips,
I'm looking for any information on John Douglas Mullen, who died in Oklhoma. According to Ancestry.com he died in 1942 and was 100 years old, I had him down as dead in 1924. He died in Drumright Creek Oklahoma, and was apparently buried somewhere in Thomas Oklahoma. He was born in 1842 in Benton Arkansas. His father was Swift Flower Mullin, his mother was Susan Carolyn Bean Taylor, (her father was an Indian Chief), anyway John D married Phoebe Ann Phillips. I don't know when she died but it was sometime in the 1880's orso. John Douglas was a Confederate soldier in the Civil War. Ollie Frances Mullen was his daughter and my Gr. Grandmother. She was married to John Wesley Norris (my Gr. Grandfather) and they lived in Thomas Oklahoma where my grandmother Mary Ludy Norris grew up. John Douglas either lived with them or not far away. I am seriously trying to find his grave. I know that the VA. will put up a headstone for veterans of the Civil War, if I can prove Direct Descendant, and of course locate the grave. I would appreciate any help. my email is [email protected] you Scott Spencer
