Hi Steve,
My name is Kevin W. Davis and I live in Simpson County, Mississippi close to where Jeremiah Mullican lived. I've been researching the Mullican family for along time. My break came when I found the probate records for JEREMIAH MULLICAN about four years ago. It gave all of his children and their residences. I knew from the census that he had several daughters who married before 1850 but Simpson County marriage records were destroyed by fire in 1872.. I have the complete family for the 10 children of Jeremiah and Frances Mullican. I also have most all of Jeremiah's grandchildren traced down to the 1920 census. The only two that I don't have pretty much complete are Mahaley (Mullican) Smith, and your line Lucinda (Mullican) Hilton. I would love to find trade anything that you want for a run down of James and Lucinda (Mullican) Hilton's family. I descend through JEREMIAH's oldest daughter Susan (Mullican) who was the wife of John Guynes Jr. The following is what I have on your line.:
1850: Simpson County, Miss. Census
James A. Hilton21
Lucinda20
George H.7/12 months old
1860: Polk County, Texas Census p.o45
James A. Hilton28
Lucinda26
George8
Rosanna5
Forina? Leander3 (female)
Margaret4 (Male)
James A. Hilton28
Lucinda26
George8
Rosanna5
Forina? Leander3 (female)
Margaret4 (Male)It looks to me like the ages in the 1860 census are alittle bit off, and maybe Leander and Margaret's sexes were crossed? I would like to have a list of their children. I've never been able to find the family after this 1860 census. Please e-mail me at [email protected]. I would love to speak to your more on the subject of the Mullican's Thank You, KEVIN DAVIS
