Richard G. Munson, 79, a former resident of Windham, died Sunday, Nov. 1, at the home of his daughter in Rushville, after a long illness.
He was born and educated in Windham and attended Albany Business College. For many years, he and his brother ran Munson's Corner Grocery at the corner of Mill and Main Streets in Windham. He also managed his own insurance business.
After leaving Windham, Mr. Munson was employed by the General Electric Company in Schenectady, and the Eastmen [Eastman] Kodak Company in Rochester. He was retired from Kodak.
He is survived by his wife, Vanessa Jones Munson; his daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Walter McIntyre of Rushville; six grandchildren, Scott, David, Bonnie, Laurie, Thomas and Timothy McIntyre; three great grandchildren; his sister, Mrs. Charles (Dorothy) Cammer of Windham and several nephews.
Interment was in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Canandaigua.
