I'm looking for any Murdocks who passed through the Cumberland Gap to get anywhere, and did they have a tapestry or quilt with them which had been signed by four of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. It also had samplers on it and some Indian writings. Was this just a story or did it actually exist? There were two wagons. One went west on the Walker road along the Cumberland River and the other went north on Boone's road. The wagon that went north was attacked by Indians and the parents killed.
