I am searching for HISTORICAL information relative to the Flat Lick Bayou area of NW Louisiana where John Murrell is to have located in 1818.Perhaps someone with a copy of the above referenced book would help me...Ellender?
I am specifically interested in the time period 1825-1830.Rev. William Stevenson, "Father of Methodism" in Arkansas, brought a group (+/- 40 families) from Hempstead County, Arkansas to NW Louisiana (+/- 1826), and it appears they settled on or near Flat Lick Bayou where history states John Murrell located in 1818.History also states that a fellow settler with Murrell was the Methodist zealot, Thomas Gray.
Is this book hard cover or soft cover? How many pages does it contain?Could it be photocopied...I would be happy to pay the expenses if there is HISTORICAL information about the area and the settlement of NW Louisiana contained within, as opposed to just line charts of genealogy.
Thank you in advance for your time and attention to my request for information.
