Winnie Mussell, b.Feb 1891, dau of Isaac/Carrie Mussell, lived Pembina Co., ND
I have an original postcard photograph of “Winnie Mussell – youngest daughter of Isaac”, which I would like to get back to family members. Photo was taken in about 1920, and she looks to be about age 30..
I found Winnie Mussell in the 1900 census of Drayton (Pembina Co.) ND, with DOB of Feb 1891.She was born ND, and her parents born Canada. She was daughter of Isaac (March 1852) and Carrie (Aug 1852) Mussel or Mussell.
I have another photo obtained at the same time as that of Winnie Mussell, addressed to “Mussell, Long Rapids, Alpena (Co.), Mich.”It is a photo of a group, and it was mailed April 1906 from “Rossea---llno”, or “Ontario”, Ontario, Canada. It has on it a 1 cent stamp, and is from “D. W. Scott”.It contains the names (under their photos) of Tillie, Charlotte, Maggie, Alf and Walter. All are in their 20s or 30s.Since it came from a D. W. Scott in Ontario (where Winnie Mussell’s parents were born) to “Mussell” in Alpena Co., MI, I assume it was from a family member. The 1920 census of Long Rapids, Alpena Co., MI shows a John Mussell, age 68, wife Matilda, age 66, and son John, age 36, so this surely is the same man to whom the card was addressed.
