Billie: Thanks so much for giving what the book says. That is so neat to have the nickname of "Lum" given, as "Lumpkin" Nabors was the only name that was handed down, so it took quite a lot of looking to figure out that James C. (Columbus) was who I was looking for and also knowing he was in the Civil War.
In several of the Ragsdale's genealogy, it gives Marshall, Alabama with Miranda's name and only James Nabors. In FamilySearch, I just did find one listing that gave a marriage date of 1826 in Laurens SC and 'no children' but can't tell who submitted it, when all the rest mention 'around 1836' and no death date. So it's back to the drawing board and more sleuthing.
Thanks again for all your work in helping clear up the tangled Nabors history.
