My husband's mother was a NADEAU who married a BEAUBIEN. One of her relatives, Josephine M. Souva Hirst (now deceased), was the "First Editor of the Monroe County (MI) Genealogical Society" and in 1976, she researched the MARCIA (aka Macia, Marc, Mark) NADEAU genealogy. While she recorded no birth date for him, she did state that MARK came from Genouillac, Angouleme, Angoumoris, France and married Jeanne Depres of Paris France. She noted in her paper that only one son's name (JOSEPH OSSANY NADEAU, b. 1637 in Genouillac) was recorded.
Mrs. Hirst did a narrative of Joseph's emigration to "New France" and has brought down his lineage to the mid-1900's, which I'm currently trying to bring up to the year 2000.
