My great grandmother was Theresia Nahlinger who was born May 27, 1860 in Christianberg, Austria. She was married to Ulrich Bussjaeger in 1887 and they had 9 children all of who were born in St. Paul, MN. The family eventually settled in Southern California.
I am seeking additional information on Theresia's origins. Her father's name is believed to be Albert Nahlinger who was born in Austria. He was a carpenter by trade but he was killed at the age of 42-44 in Munich, Germany or Christianberg, Austria when he was trampled by a team of horses.
Theresia's mother was Elizabeth Dahl who was born in Austria in August 1827. It is said that Elizabeth and her 7 children arrived at Ellis Island between 1880-1900. They were Lorenz, Franz, Kamila, Wenzel, Theresia, Mary Ann and Josef. The family settled in St. Paul, where Mary Ann died in 1941. The rest of the family moved on to Southern Californai and are all buried there.
I would like to know more about Albert and Elizabeth. Can anyone help?? Maureen
