The September 2008 issue of MAINE ANTIQUE DIGEST magazine on p. 32-B pictures a portrait of Lucy Nason of Belfast, Maine, painted about the time of her wedding in 1814. Shemarried a direct descendant of Henry Adams, an early settler of the American colonies.
The portrait is printed in black & white on newsprint in the magazine so the reproduction is not high quality, but it still may be of value to descendants.
This portrait should be made known to the Nason and Adamsfamilies. I am scanning it in case any of the descendants might like a copy, either by email or by postal mail. Someone in the families ought to have it--it is too good to be missed by the family. It may not have extensive genealogy value (no other genealogy information is given about her), but it certainly does have a whole lot of family and artistic value.

If it were a portrait of a Pease family member, I'd certainly want someone to do the same for me.
