Jim, sorry I do not have any further information on the Senior Tom Nealon.
I think I located him on the Lemoie Marriage
records of Canada but the spelling was
different.His marital status however was
what I had been told by Mary McAndrew, my
cousin in Carbondale several yrs ago. That was that Tom Nealon Sr. had been married 2 or
3 times. The Lemoie Index lists him as widowed and his bride as Marie which on the
PA census for 1850 has her as Mary. The Nealon name is spelled different but it places him in Canada where his son Tom was
born and his name was the only Neylan on the
marriage index. This was for Jolette. The
historical records for Lackawanna County has
a son Nealon listed as coming from Lower
Canada in 1846.Just in time for the 1850
census - which is where I found them. I have
yet to find them on any ships records.
This "son" is my grt grnd father. My grandfather being another Tom.
