Unfortunately, I know nothing about William and Lydia Leland.
My great-great grandmother was born Anna Neeld Trexler. Her parents were Isaac S. Trexler and Emmaline Bowman (my great grandmother spelled it that way, but the enumerator for the 1880 census (or the LDS worker) spelled it Emeline).Isaac was born 1818/19 and Emmaline in 1819/20.I am unsure at this time how many children they had and will check with a cousin later. There were 3 children living with Isaac and Emmaline in 1880.William A. was born 1847/48, James P. was born 1854/55, and my great-great grandmother Anna was born 12/29/1858 and died in 1936.THe entire family was born and raised in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. In 1880 they were living in Lower Makefield Township.
My great-great grandfather was Benjamin Franklin Carter. He was called Frank.I am not sure where he and Anna lived in Bucks County.I am descended from their oldest child Charles Trexler Carter.According to my great grandparents' wedding announcement Charlie was from Dolington, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. My grandfather was born in Dolington, so I assume the Trexler family lived there or in a nearby town.
I know that Isaac S. Trexler was the son of George Trexler and Mary Lewis, but I don't know anything more about Emmaline Bowman.
To be quit honest, I am not even sure there were Neelds in the family.I am only assuming there were because Neeld was my great great grandmother's middle name.It is also possible that the Neeld she was named after was just a family friend.
