Sharon,
Thank you for the suggestion. I did and got a bit more information on Lucy and Levi's family, even added two post it notes about Lucy and their "Baby Neese" that is buried beside my great grandparents in Stephens, Arkansas. Lucy and Levi must have been visiting with her parents and brother James Franklin Cole when their baby passed away.
Lucy had one brother James, and he left Indiana with his parents for Arkansas in the late 1800's after Lucy was married. James and his wife Elizabeth Frances Holt Cole were buried beside their nephew.Or was it beside his parents... Sorry, I'm tired. If this is incorrect, I'll correct later. Either way, Baby Neese is buried in the Stephens Cemetery in Stephens, Arkansas alongside Cole family, including my grandparents.
You mentioned this was your family.Where do you fit in?Would love to share more information on Lucy's parents and great grandparents- mostly on the Cole line, should you want it.
Have no idea who Jacob Jr and Mary Ann Cole were visiting in IL when Lucy was born, or where in IL. I suspect that Jacob Sr. is buried in IL. His wife, Christina Hoffman Cole was living in IN with their daughter's family after Jacob Sr passed away. Have not found where she is buried either, but suspect IN.
Jacob Sr., Christina Hoffman Cole and their family moved from Unity Township, Westmoreland County, PA to Clay County, IN after the 1850 census.
