I am not trying to monopolize this list, but here is another GOODWIN query:
Seeking information on Felix Alden Goodwin and his two wives, Nancy unknown and Kate unknown. Felix is the 4th son and 5th child of Dr. James Horace GOODWIN and Ruth NEGLEY GOODWIN.
Like his siblings, Felix was born in Allegheny Co. (probably Tarentum or Deer Twp.), PA in abt 1847. With the rest of his family he moved to Clark Co., Missouri before 1860 and then to Keokuk, Lee Co., IA before the 1870 census. He probably married Nancy unknown (b. Abt 1847 in KY) in 1867 or before and the couple would go on to have 6 children before 1880 (when the entire family is listed in Keokuk, Lee Co., IA.).
Felix is found in Lee Co., IA in the 1900—1920 censuses. In the 1900 census, he has a new wife, Kate unknown, b. Mar., 1861 in IL and they have one child. Kate and her daughter and a stepson are listed in the 1930 census for Lee Co., IA indicating that Felix had died prior to 1930.
Felix had various occupations including Teamster, Farmer, Fireman and House Carpenter.
Questions: When did Felix die and where is he buried. Did he serve in the Civil War?
What were the last names (& families) of his two wives, when did they die and where are they buried. Where and when did he marry Nancy unknown?
