I'd be interested to know where you got the details of his movements. I have only found conflicting info in this area. I am a direct descendent of Matthias Ness. His son Matthias Nehs Jr. moved to York County PA, which is where my lineage stayed and where I still live. If you have any more details as to the "old country" I would appreciate it. I've had a hard time actually identifying his home town and its location in the old country, as I said I have conflicting info on the exact location. Don't know about the movements other than it was a poor and destitute area caused by wars and occupation. I also assume that since he came to the US in the "2nd wave" of Palatine immigration, he may have been an indentured servant, as many in the "2nd wave" were such.
