Seattle Post-Intelligencer 1-25-06 Rosa Nemmers born in Orient South Dakota on June 19, 1916, passed peacefully on January 18, 2006. Rosa and her two late sisters Felicity and Betty, lived active lives in Seattle WA involved with church, travel and many dear friends. St. James Cathedral was a second home for Rosa where she was a tireless volunteer. She was an officer and leader of the Young Ladies' Institute, a Catholic women's group commited to charitable work and was active with the Catholic Seamen's Club for years. Rosa worked in insurance and took great pleasure in her many travels throughout the world. After WWII, the three sisters moved to Seattle when their friend, Mary Ann Kalkman married Warren Hathaway of Seattle, now deceased. Rosa became a beloved member of the family and will be greatly missed by the Hathaway children and their families. The funeral will be held at St. James Cathedral at noon on Friday, January 27, 2006. I am not related, just a Dakota's ex-pat in Seattle, passing this along.
