I think a CARNI married a NESCI, who may be related to your NESCI's, but I'm not sure yet.
In addition to Elizabetta CARNI and Teresa CARNI manifested on the Giuseppe Verdi 1920/02/14, the following were also manifested:
Pg 340, line 22:CARNI, Mariana/20/single/South Italy/Caulonia.
Pg 340, line 23:CARNI, Teresa Nesci or NESCI, Teresa Carni/59/married/South Italy/Caulonia
Pg 336, line 28:NESCI, Giuseppe/25/married/South Italy/Caulonia, IT (USA)
Pg 240, line 15:NESCI, Vincenzo/37/Italian/South Italy/Caulonia.
Also, the following.(VESCI* means I couldn't read it, but now I think it is NESCI, based on the above Ellis island records):
1930 - CENSUS:Dwell 136, Family 364:205 N. McBride St, Syracuse, ONO/NY:Living in the h/h of his son-in-law Joseph VESCI*:James CARNI/65/wd/IT/IT/IT, father-in-law,immigrated 1910*, naturalized, can’t speak English.
1930 - CENSUS 1930 U.S. Population Census, 205 N. McBride St, Syracuse, ONO/NY (N.A. Micro T626, Roll 1627, ED 38, Dwell 136, Family 364, pg, l 15-20):Ward 6, Dwell 136, Family 364, 205 N. McBride St, Syracuse, ONO/NY:VESCI*, Joseph/38/IT/IT/IT, truckman, m 1st at 28, immigrated in 1920, naturalized, can speak English & r&w, no radio; Marion VESCI*/34/IT/IT/IT, immigrated 1920, naturalized, can speak English & r&w; Thresea VESCI*/6/NY/IT/IT, at school; Emmily VESCI*/4 yrs 7 mos/NY/IT/IT; James VESCI*/3 yrs 8 mos/NY/IT/IT; James CARNI/father-in-law/65/IT/IT/IT/wd, immigrated 1910, naturalized, can’t speak English.
Note:The Marion above was dau of James CARNI, who's living in the h/h as father-in-law.
I'm wondering if these NESCIs are related to your people, which seems like an uncommon name.
Please let me know if you have any info on these people.
