HAYS-NEWBY--Jan 1, 1906, at high noon, at the home of the bride’s mother, Mrs. Amanda Newby, Edward S. Hays of Agency, Missouri and Florence Newby of this city.Rev. L. H. Humpreys officiating. The house was beautiful with a pin and white decoration scheme.Curtains of smilax and pink and white carnations covering the wall where the bridal pair stood. Only the immediate relatives and her intimate friends witnessed the ceremony. Miss Newby has long been a member of the teaching corps of this city.Faithful, conscientious and skillful have been her efforts in all lines along which her energy has been directed. A valued member of the Fortnightly club, a prominent member of the Lady Maccabees and a faithful worker in the church circles, her place will be hard to fill. The new community in which hse is to make her home is fortunate to add her to its circle. The groom is a newspaper man editor of the Agency Democrat and bears an enviable repute in his home state. The gifts wee many and valuable attesting the esteem in which Mr. and Mrs. Hays are held.A crowd of friends bade them God speed amid a shower of “luck bringing rices” as the boarded the train for their future home in Agency Missouri, at 4:30 p. m.
