I have not found a will or record of death for Mark or Mary. There is no newspaper notification. There are no records of land ownership, transfers, etc. He left no paper trail that I can find. I am seeking information on Mark Stafford Newland and am interested in any information you have.
I am willing to share the info I have. Most importantly, I am seeking to connect him to his son Mark Newland mentioned above. I believe that the lack of a paper trail is my frustration but if there are documents from the siblings of Mark Sr or Mark Jr that mention either of them, I am interested. I was not able to include Mark and Mark in my appliction to First Families of ohio until I can make a better proof. I have 4 more years to get it in. I have lots of documents on Mark Newland the son and his brother John Newland, both of whom served in the Civil War. I have their papers and am willing to share info.
