OBITUARY: Milo F. NICHOL Sandusky – Milo F. Nichol, age 70, of 854 W. Saginaw Road, died Monday morning when a sewer trench he was digging, caved in on him. The Sheriff’s Department said Mr. Nichol was at the bottom of the trench while other men were watching him from the top when the west side of the trench in the Sunset Trailer Park, located west of Sandusky, caved in. Efforts by these men to extract Mr. Nichol before he died, failed. Mr. Nichol was a former resident of Deckerville and Brown City areas, was born 31 March 1901 in Custer Twp. He married Bertha Graves, 28 September 1929 in Carsonville. He is survived by his widow, a son Robert of Clude, Ohio; two daughers, Mrs. Orville Johnson of Pontiac and Mrs. Robert Spangler of Union Lake; thirteen grandchildren; two brothers, Eugene of Florida and Grant of Saginaw and a sister, Mrs. Merle Darlington of Deckerville. Remains were in the Hacker Funeral Home, Sandusky, where Masonic Memorial services were conducted under the auspices of Deckerville and Brown City F. and A.M. lodges.
