I can help a bit on Isaac Nidiffer and Lucy Gertrude Arthur. They were my maternal grandmother's paternal grandparents.
He was born in Tennessee on July 18, 1818 and died Feb. 2, 1890 and is buried in in the Ralston Cemetery on Monkey Island, Oklahoma. I've visited his grave on several occasions as several of the family are buried there. (Monkey Island isn't an island, actually, but it's near Grove, in the old Delaware District.) He's described as "of medium build, tall and slender, he had blue eyes and dark hair." A cousin's thorough digging says that first mention of him comes up in War Department records -- he enlisted for 1 year in 1836 at Washington, Rhea Co., Tn. He later got a military grant for service in the Florida Wars.
Lucy Gertrude Arthur was born 6 Apr 1822 in Georgia and died 2 Apr 1883 (may have been 1886 -- conflicting info). Her father was Felix Arthur and her mother, Sabrina Ward.
Lucy and Isaac had 11 children; one was my grandmother's father, Felix Grundy Nidiffer. There were Nidiffers all over the place in Ottawa and Delaware Counties, Oklahoma, during the 1st half of the 1900s.
Sabrina was part Cherokee-- apparently her father requested a "reservation" in 1817 in the West (Arkansas and present-day Oklahoma), though it's not clear he actually came and stayed.
