Claude; I have some additional information on the family of Charles Nimmo that makes it sound as if they are the same person. There is quite a few differences in the dates, but the names are to close to discount the possiblity. This is a brother of Charles Nimmo. Harvey Nimmo married Birdie Pearl Edmondson, a sister to Earl Allen Edmondson. Earl Allen Edmondson married Charles Nimmo's oldest daughter Minnie. Hope that makes sense. Kahoka Gazette - July 28, 1943. Kahoka, MO. (reprinted from The Gate City, Keokuk, IA.,) Harvey R. Nimmo, 43, a resident of St. Francisville, Mo., for the past eight months, died at 11 o'clock Monday night in St. Joseph Hospital here of injuries sustained three hours and a half earlier when his truck overturned in a ravine three miles north of Wayland, Mo. Nimmo, who came to St. Francisville last November from Parksdale, AR., was injured about the face and head and it was believed likely that he had sustained a skull fracture. The accident occurred about 7:30 p.m. while Nimmo was driving home from Wayland. It was believed that he lost control of the vehicle, a Ford pick-up truck, while it was crossing a small bridge which is said to have no side rails. Alfred Crum who lives nearby heard the crash and went immediately to the scene. He succeeded in removing Nimmo from the truck cab and then took the injured man to a physician in Wayland. From there he was brought to the local hospital in Keokuk. A son of Andrew and Eliza Snodgrass Nimmo, the victim was born on August 15, 1899, in Tennessee. He was married at New Madrid, MO., on January 7, 1928, to Birdie Pearl Edmondson who survives along with a brother, Russell R. Nimmo of New York and a sister Mrs. Julia Yancey of Blythesville, AR.
Harvey Nimmo is buried in the Sands Cemetery in St. Francisville, MO. Julia Nimmo Yancey was born 12 Feb 1891 and died Sept 1977 in Arkansas according to the Social Security Index.
The obit for Harvey Nimmo was in some papers found by a daughter in law of Earl and Minnie Edmondson.
