It appears that the Nodens tended to stay in Cheshire County.Even a city as large as London only had half a dozen Nodens the last time I checked. And as you well know, the surname is extremely rare in this Country. My parents visited Liverpool many years ago and reported the large number of Noden families there.
My emigrant ancestor was Thomas Noden (married Sarah Metcalf) and his sons, George and Jesse.George (Rev.) Noden was offered a job at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company of New York in 1880.(He was born 1 Sep 1857 in Maccelsfield, Cheshire, England.)He married Maram Elizabeth Mary Rossell of Liverpool.I don't know if the entire family (Thomas and sons George and Jesse) came to the US together, but they all lived in Allegheny Co., PA.I would be happy to share my line with you.If you have anything from across the Atlantic that would be informative to me, I would appreciate knowing it.I don't go back further than Thomas and Sarah.
