Dennis,Thank you very much! Guess we are distant Cousins.
You have helped me fill in a few places, and also opened up some big questions. What do you think?
In the 1900 Census (Belmont County, Roll 1241, Book 2, Page 101a)which lists the twins, William and Mellisa Ann were said to have had 11 children, of which 8 were living in June of 1900. In our family bible, Lillia Bell, made the following entries, they were, under deaths,
"Brother" Arthur D. Noice Died, May 16, 1897 "Mother" Melissa A. Noice Died, March 14, 1907 "Father" Wm NoiceDied, Feb 7, 1914
Are you certain they only had seven children? What do you think?
I am very interested in your records, letters, and especially the photos, etc. Goldie Hall, last child born to Engle and Lillia in 1917, is still living (Steubenville). It is very likely, that she would know some of them. Drop me a line at Engleh@aol.com. Incidently, the Engle Hall geneology, on the Internet, has some problems on the Hall side.
I will be in NC this weekend at the farm, but will be back in Columbia (SC) on Sunday. Hope to hear from you.
