***NOTE*** The nick names in " " are not nick names,but how the name was pronounced by every family member that could remeber them I ever talked too while they were alive.
This makes sense in that a study of the Overton County area has shown that they in general pronounced the letter a that ended in a name with a y or ie sound,such is the case why Asa Wade NORROD's(1841-1901)name is often found in records as Acy & his wife Martha Ann WHITED/WHITEHEAD's(1843-1899)name is often found as Marthy.
